The JR Cartel is made up of young riders who have a real passion for mountain bikes. This project will enable the best environment for spotting the talent of tomorrow, with the hope that one day, they will integrate into an elite COMMENCAL team. It will be a multi-country team with unified bicycle and gear support. It will give access to professional grade, super cool, make-your-friends-jealous pit support at specific events, and allow for fun-vibed relationship and friendship building opportunities with our professional athletes and industry employees, to help you progress and achieve your bike riding dreams.
Who we are:
Commencal Junior Cartel is a fun first - teamwork makes the dream work - bikes rule grassroots program to help build young athletes and prepare them for World Cup downhill dominance, on and off track success, and personal growth opportunities otherwise not available.
What we are looking for:
Positive attitude, playful, high five throwing, wide-open shredders spread across the USA and Europe. We want downhill oriented riders who feel the need for speed and the desire to improve and become the best riders and racer+s they can be.
What's Expected:
Chosen riders will be expected to compete in mandatory big races of their regions. They are expected to help encourage teammates with air or virtual high-fives and to provide smiles in the community while producing awesome social media content and spreading positive brand awareness.
We've split the support between two zones, Europe and USA, relying on the Commencal headquarters on these two continents to provide a professional framework and logistical support.
USA Program
We're looking for young race oriented shredders aged 14-18 yrs.
Attendance that will be expected:
- 2 National PRO GRT appearances
- US Nationals in Snowshoe, WV
- Team Camp in Winterpark, Colorado
European Program
We're looking for young race oriented shredders aged 8-16 yrs.
Attendance dates that are expected:
- A Training Camp with team riders at the beginning of the season, to share experiences, techniques and training schedules.
- Crankworx Les Gets
- French Championships in Morzine
- 2 IXS European Cup - TBA
