CRANKWORX Whistler - Results of the Week

The 3rd and final round of Crankworx 2019 finished this weekend in Whistler, Canada.

As she explained in Les Gets at the World Cup, Myriam Nicole hoped to return to competition at Crankworx in Whistler. And that’s exactly what she did!
Indeed, the COMMENCAL VALLNORD DH Team rider participated in the Canadian Open DH Sunday afternoon, the last event on the calendar.
After training all week and finding her flow on the bike, Myriam achieved an incredible 3rd place for her first race back! What’s more, she was within a second of Tracey Hannah in 1st! Bravo Pompon!
Obviously not yet 100%, she will continue to refine her recovery and could still participate in the World Championships in Mont Sainte-Anne.

Bruce Klein has had a pretty difficult season in Europe but he’s obviously much more at home in North America. He was 2nd on the podium in the men’s race. Congrats to him, great result!

In the Red Bull Joyride Slopestyle event, things didn’t go so well for Paul Couderc as he was unable to achieve the same performance as in Innsbruck.
Despite a strong first run, a fall at the end of the course and another in his second run prevented him from progressing.

Earlier in the week, Luca Cometti and Kyle Strait participated in Speed and Style. They came 12th and 13th place respectively.
These two versatile riders also raced Pump Track Challenge finishing 5th and 6th.
