Crankworx Rotorua - Two Silver Medals in Slopestyle and Pumptrack

Slopestyle, Pumptrack and Dual Slalom were part of the Rotorua CWX program last weekend for the final round.

In Slopestyle, Tim Bringer and Paul Couderc were behind the handlebars of their ABSOLUTs.
After a long wait for the dreary weather to pass, Tim laid down an excellent run which scored him 93.25 points! With this result, he achieved his first podium on an International Slopestyle stage with a brilliant 2nd place.

With a very clean run, Paul finished the season in 6th overall, 7th on the day, and with a broken wrist! The competition is hot and the technical difficulty of tricks is increasing every time we see these guys on course. Riders must show creativity and execute the perfect shapes and landings.

Onto Pumptrack and it was Billy Meaclem who came 2nd this time! After his win in the Speed & Style and 2nd place at Whip-Off, it was raining medals for the Kiwis infront of their home fans. After his success in the DH, Rotorua resident Louis Hamiliton took 5th in Pumptrack, a great week for him and his supporting family and friends. Later in the day, he also finished 4th in Dual Slalom.

It was the last Crankworx event of the season and we can truly say that our COMMENCAL riders made an impressive impact, whether they made the trip from Europe or grew up in NZ, we have been proud to watch them in a country that is close to our hearts. Thanks to our COMMENCAL New Zealand team too!

Can’t wait for next year already!
