EWS #7 Northstar - The Title for Antoine Vidal !

For the first time in its history, Northstar resort which is close to the city of Truckee in California, hosted a round of the Enduro World Series. Situated just north of Lake Tahoe, the weekend proved to be somewhat technical but above all, very dry and dusty.

Behind the bars of his META AM 29, Antoine scored another victory this weekend in Northstar, California. With such a great race, he managed to secure the Enduro World Series overall U21 title! Even with one round left next month in Zermatt, Switzerland.

An young champion who can already compare himself to the best in the discipline. Indeed despite two falls he finished 8th overall out of the whole field over the weekend! An incredible performance for a young rider who has demonstrated that he can already be relied on when he moves into the Elite category in two years time.

After this full season and becoming 2019 EWS U21 Champion, Antoine says, “The season we just lived with the team was perfect! The atmosphere is always superb, always happy. Thanks to them for helping me reach this level. Winning the EWS is something great! I cannot wait to start next season!"

Note that the young rider will participate in the DH World Championships with his French selection this weekend. Hhe has already participated in three rounds of World Cup this season too. Good luck!

With a month until the last round of 2019 in Switzerland, Antoine Vidal (COMMENCAL VALLNORD Enduro Team) is closing in on the overall win in the U21 category! The young French rider largely dominated this American round to sign off on his 5th victory of the season!

In the Masters category the fight is still on between Cédric Ravanel and Karim Amour.
Even if he did win the first stage, Cédric finished 2nd over the weekend, only 46 hundredths off the victory.
The two French riders are today joint 1st in the general classification with 1450 points each! It will be decided next month at the final round...

Finally, she couldn’t race this round but Cécile Ravanel could still participate in training sessions with her teammates. So good to see she's on the right track!
