First French Cup First Win for Myriam Nicole

As a result of the majority of World Cup stops for the 2020 season being cancelled, some of the world's best riders who are already in Europe are therefore competing in more of these French Cups races this year. A week after the first round in Alpe d'Huez, the second took place in Les 2 Alpes and the COMMENCAL riders took full advantage!

On a fast, dusty and tricky track, our guys and girls largely dominated in both categories.
Benoit Coulanges (COMMENCAL DORVAL AM Team) won ahead of Hugo Frixtalon.
There are also 4 other COMMENCAL riders in the top ten positions; Baptiste Pierron (4th), Rémi Thirion (5th), Thomas Estaque (8th) and Dylan Levesque (10th)!
With a second place quali' run, and in only his second elite race, current French Champ Thibaut Daprela unfortunately fell during his final run.

In the women’s category, Myriam Nicole joined in for her first official race of her season.
And she made her mark by winning with more than 4 seconds on European Champion Camille Balanche (COMMENCAL DORVAL AM), with Mariana Salazar (COMMENCAL DORVAL AM) coming 4th.
The COMMENCAL DORVAL AM Team were collectively the best of the day!

It was an excellent weekend of preparation before the French Championships on Sunday 23rd August in Les Menuires.
