À seulement 14 ans, le jeune rider anglais nous parle de sa famille et de sa passion pour la culture trail digging. Des grosses lignes dirt au guidon de son ABSOLUT aux jumps monstrueux qu'il s'envoie avec son FRS via son implication dans notre nouveau team, le COMMENCAL FREERIDE PROJECT, Finley n'a pas fini de prendre de l'air et de nous faire rêver.

WHO ARE YOU?
"I’m Finley Davies, I’m 14 years old and I’m from Buckinghamshire in the UK."

WHAT’S IT LIKE THERE?
"Wet, always wet! Very flat but a lot of farmer’s fields and not so many buildings or towns."

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE KIND OF RIDING?
"I think my favourite kind of riding is probably dirt jumps on trails. I like to do tricks a lot as well, slopestyle, but I love perfectly shaped big, steep, and flowy jumps."

HOW DID YOU GET INTO RIDING?
"I think I just saw videos and we also went to local BMX race tracks and it kind of started from there. My brother didn’t ride bikes, so I think it was just by watching other people. I was like, ‘It looks good, so I am just gonna try it myself!’ "

DO YOU GO TO SCHOOL?
"So, I go to school every day Monday to Friday from 9am till 3pm. And I basically try to ride my bikes whenever I can, on the weekends and after school."

DO YOUR PARENTS HELP YOU A LOT?
"Yes, my mum and dad are really supportive. They take me pretty much everywhere I want. They are always helping me with what they can, like going to a spot or taking me to a contest or jam. They help me with what I want to build or ride."

KIDS DON’T REALLY WANT TO DIG ANYMORE. DO YOU AGREE WITH THAT?
"I don’t really agree with not digging because if no one dug anymore then there would be no spots to ride! So, you have to put in the work, just rebuild what you’ve ridden so the next person that comes to the spot will enjoy riding it! "

DO YOU DO OTHER SPORTS?
"I don’t really do other sports. I’ve done some rugby in the past in school but nothing else right now."

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA?
"It’s really good as a platform to show yourself and show the sports you do. But sometimes some people don’t use it how it should be used. But for me, I like to show what I do on my bikes."

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
"I don’t really have like a big long term plan but I would like to ride Crankworx Slopestyle and do some freeride events like Darkfest or Loosefest."
