World Championships Leogang - 1st Practice

It’s been foggy and moist in Leogang!

Thursday saw the first practice session for COMMENCAL riders as they unveiled their respective country-colours to the public with their first laps on the Austrian track.

After several days of cold and rain (bordering on snow) the riders found a wet, slippery and greasy track for these first runs of the week.
Difficult to grasp, the majority of them favoured the search for the best lines with the purest speed.
So it was not a question of where to save time, but where not to waste it.

Qualifying takes place today so we’ll get more of an idea of who's the most comfortable on this track. This year (perhaps) more than any, qualis' are particularly important.
Snowfall
is forecast overnight on Saturday and into Sunday morning.
Should the weather cancel out the race, the UCI announced on Thursday that the qualifying results would define the overall titles for these World Championships.

2020, a special year until the end!
