World Cup #3 - Leogang - Daprela Is On It

This third round of the DH World Cup kept everyone on their toes!

Unfortunately, Amaury Pierron could not defend his trophy here from last year after his magnificent victory at Fort William. Despite a good run, an error at the very beginning lost him valuable time. He was still 6th fastest, just  0.098 seconds off the podium!

As for Rémi Thirion, his efforts throughout the weekend were fruitful with a 15th place finish. Congratulations also go to Baptiste Pierron and Rafael Gutierrez Villegas who finish 25th and 26th respectively.

Thibaut Daprela continues to reign SUPREME in the Junior category! He signed off in Austria with his third victory in as many races and takes is extending his lead in the overall points. Impressive!
There was a nice performance from Antoine Vidal. The young COMMENCAL VALLNORD ENDURO Team rider participated in only his second DH World Cup ever this weekend. He finished a good 10th place. Emile Rilat finished his Austrian weekend in 14th place.

Thanks to all these good results, the COMMENCAL VALLNORD DH Team retains their position at the top of the team rankings.
The next race will see the COMMENCAL riders at home! The 4th round of the World Cup will take place on 6th and 7th July in Vallnord, Andorra.
