World Cup #3 - Leogang - Qualification

The Leogang World Cup kicked off this Saturday with qualifying.
Sunny and particularly dry and dusty on-track, COMMENCAL riders had to be committed and as in the first two rounds, they showed us they were!

Following his heavy fall yesterday during training, Amaury Pierron not only demonstrated his strength and determination, but also that his competitors could count on him to be in the mix for the final. Indeed, the winner of the Fort William World Cup finished 4th, 1.842secs seconds off the best time.

Rémi Thirion confirmed he was feeling good on the bike and he qualified 17th. Dylan Levesque and Rafael Gutierrez Villegas also impressed by qualifying respectively in 28th and 29th. Nice performance for Baptiste Pierron who achieved 35th place.

In the Women’s category, Mariana Salazar was 8th while her DORVAL teammate Monika Hrastnik was 12th.

Finally, the Juniors were once again impressive. Thibaut Daprela held his position by winning this qualifying session. The COMMENCAL VALLNORD ENDURO Team member Antoine Vidal was 9th fastest in only his second World Cup!
