World Cup #7: Lenzerheide - Training

The sun was back on Thursday in Lenzerheide for a day of training on the track.

The ground was totally saturated during the morning making those first descents extremely slippery. Ruts quickly formed in loose soil and roots came through in the new sections. This didn't make things any easier. Fortunately for the riders, the track dried quickly, allowing them to test different lines they had been able to spot the day before during track walk.

On the whole during timed training, our riders made some minor errors and some hit the ground but like their bikes, they’re ready to go for tomorrows qualifications. The SUPREME DH is a bike that works perfectly well on this type of track.

Thomas Estaque and Rémi Thirion are looking particularly smooth with excellent demonstrations of style throughout the afternoon. Amaury Pierron is very focused and feels there's a little revenge to be had here after last week. No less for Thibaut Daprela who would like to wrap up the overall title this weekend in the run up to the World Championships in Mont-Sainte-Anne.

It’s going to be a good race! With qualifying tomorrow, we're hoping that the conditions are identical to today...
