The first journalists to have tested the
META POWER 29 2021 include
Montenbaik, the most read
MTB magazine in Chile!
Journalist Pedro
Barroso had the opportunity to ride and test the
META POWER 29 TEAM 2021 with our
COMMENCAL Chile rep, Lesly
Etchegaray. In this video posted on
Instagram, the journalist shares his comments about the bike. And they are only positive!
After a test carried out on the trails of the
Andes Pacifico, one of the most popular enduro races in the country, below is the journalist's
feedback.
"Beyond appearance, the META POWER 29 2021 still has some differences compared to the 2020 version. The reach is longer, while the new top tube means the saddle is lower. There is also a slacker head angle. (…) The result is a super aggressive e-bike built with top RockShox components and a sensitive single pivot suspension system offering excellent grip.” “The battery life is very good and means the rider can adjust the motor between two different configurations, performance and endurance for example. (…) The engine is so efficient that it gives the impression there’s a tale wind on the climbs. The Japanese engine (Shimano EP8) is particularly quiet.”Invited by Pedro
Barroso for the test,
professional rider Lukas
Hammersley also gives his opinion:
"It's a bike made to send heavy. It is very stable thanks to the new geometry which is more aggressive than the old one. The choice made on the Zeb Ultimate is excellent, as it wants to be rigid at the front... This bike is a little bit like a train... A good weight that means the bike is playful and its stability means you can control it well through turns. It's very well balanced, you feel very comfortable on the handlebars and there’s no fatigue in the legs.” The
conclusion of the Chilean journalist:
"Actually, I almost feel like I didn't have enough time to enjoy this bike… I wish I could keep it longer and ride it more!"
