The weather always seems to be an unpredictable mix between hot sun and rain in Leogang.
On Thursday, COMMENCAL riders showed off their kits and colours to the public for their first laps on the Austrian track.
Already familiar with it after the World Championships last October, riders (re)discovered a wet, slippery, muddy track for these first training sessions of the week. Huge ruts quickly formed and the roots came poking out, whilst the wood section became a real ice rink.
During timed training, a few minor errors and crashes for our some of our riders, but that did not prevent Amaury Pierron and Thibaut Daprela from securing the two best times in elite men. In the women’s field, it was Monika Hrastnik who stood out with the first time!
The UCI has unveiled the startlist for this first World Cup of the season, here are the COMMENCAL riders to follow:
