EWS 2019 – Deuxième étape en Tasmanie

En enduro, pas de repos !

Une semaine seulement après la première manche des ENDURO WOLD SERIES à ROTORUA, en Nouvelle-Zélande, les Teams COMMENCAL VALLNORD ENDURO et COMMENCAL SRAM ENDURO étaient déjà de retour pour la deuxième manche.

Au large de la côte sud australienne, en Tasmanie, Cédric et Cécile RAVANEL ont de nouveau pu assister aux prouesses d’Antoine VIDAL.

Le jeune pilote de 18 ans qui a déjà terminé à la deuxième place la semaine passée, s’est cette fois-ci imposé dans la catégorie U21, avec plus de 15 secondes d’avance sur la deuxième place. Impressionnant !

Pour sa deuxième course dans la catégorie Elite, Théotim TRABAC a terminé 45^e.

Malheureusement pour lui, quelques erreurs de pilotage en début de course lui ont fait perdre un temps précieux.

De son côté, notre pilote COMMENCAL SRAM ENDURO, Yoann BARELLI, a joué de la malchance sur cette deuxième manche.

Après deux crevaisons et une roue cassée dans les spéciales 2, 3 et 4, il termine 57^e au général.

Il a tout de même su relever la barre en fin de course, en terminant 15^e et 11^e des deux dernières spéciales. Un week-end difficile pour lui malgré de bonnes sensations sur le vélo.

As I said earlier today, NEVER EVER GIVE UP GUYS !!! Today was a tough day for me, finishing the race with 2 flat tires and a broken wheel wasn’t the way I was expecting this race to happen, but when you are racing you have to accept things the way they come to you and only you can change the outcome of your day. I went with the flow of things, I kept smiling, got a good top 15 stage result on stage 5 at 6 second off the win and 11th in the last stage 4 second off the win with another flat tire and a broken wheel !! Tonight I’m pretty proud about myself for keeping on charging through this rough day and putting on some great stage results at the end of the day. It’s in these situations that the best of yourself shows up guys, and it’s in these situations that you get better in life. KEEP CHARGING, NO MATTER WHAT !!! The pace is here, I’m feeling good and confident on my bike, things will start clicking in soon 🤘!!
