This year the COMMENCAL USA Rider Development Team (RDT) was created to enable the integration of young riders with big potential into the COMMENCAL USA DH team structure.
The aim of this initiative is first and foremost to provide an entry into DH for young people by providing them with guidance, the necessary equipment and training activities in order to develop their specific mountain biking skills. Competition helps us all to learn and to make progress whilst also enjoying every moment. Last month this all came together for our young 16 year-old rider Samantha Soriano who won the United States Championship in her Junior category.
This RDT program is also running in Canada and is lead by Katrina Strand and Yoann Barelli. Is it the same in Europe you say? We're working on it!
