World Cup #4 Lousã - The Finals

2020, a special year until the end!
With only four World Cup rounds this year due to difficult world pandemic problems, things got pretty tight at the start of this last round in Lousã!

Myriam Nicole believed until the end.
Pompon was aiming for a second victory in the World Cup overall after her first in 2017, but finally she finished 2nd, after her 4th place finish on the day. Obviously disappointed, she admitted to having ridden too carefully during her run, but remains satisfied with her result and her return to the highest level after so much injury last year. She said after the podium, "It's racing, see you in 2021!” We will look forward to it.

Also in the Women's Elite race, COMMENCAL Dorval teammates, Monika Hrastnik and World Champion Camille Balanche took 5th and 6th places.

In the Men’s Elite race, Thibaut Daprela once again demonstrated his full potential, achieving a superb 6th place!
Above all, this last round together with his consistency during the 4 rounds this season rank it 5th in the overall. A huge performance for his first season racing Elite!
Rémi Thirion's day was more difficult. Bad luck saw him start in the most complicated conditions of the day - fog, rain, poor visibility… And he eventually took 32nd place. However, this season confirms his return to the fore with a magnificent 8th place overall!

There was also a cracking 17th place for Dylan Levesque, followed by Benoit Coulanges in 20th, Jack Reading with a nice 23rd and Baptiste Pierron, 25th.

In Junior Women, Lauryne Chappaz finished up her season by winning the final round! She finished 3rd in the overall. Ella Erickson was 5th. Pau Menoyo took 8th place in Junior Men. After great performances over the 4 rounds of the season, Dan Slack got 5th place overall in Junior Men.

Thank you to all our riders for this special season and for their determination in the face of everything that has been thrown at them.
We’re already ready for 2021!
