World Cup #7: Lenzerheide - Qualification

Nights have been wet in the mountains meaning a slippery track in the morning for the first practice sessions. Despite the damp, the sun was heating up and the track would dry very quickly. However, some were still tricked into pushing a bit too much during their runs.

The Juniors started the festivities. Thibault Daprela came first with a comfortable lead and he is ultra motivated for the race. Antoine Rogge, 14th, also bagged a place in the final.

In the Elites, Amaury Pierron came 5th fastest, enough to be one of the last down the hill on race day. Hugo Frixtalon (13th) had a nice run and he continues to prove he has the skills to ride amongst the world's best. Next to come, Thomas Estaque and Rémi Thirion in 27th and 28th.

For the women, we’ll be keeping an eye on Monika Hrastnik and Mariana Salazar (DORVAL Team) who both qualified.

All the riders were able to fine-tune their bike settings and finalise their lines in preparation for tomorrow's race. Given the results of the day, it still looks very tight and potential victors are numerous...

Fingers crossed and we wish them all good luck!
